Hello and welcome to the interesting, exciting, curious, fascinating, thought-provoking, and sometimes awe-inspiring world of the language arts! I am Ms. West and I have the pleasure of being your tour guide through this magnificent universe.
This year we will have the great opportunity to dive, head-first, into some of the finest literature this planet has ever known. We will be exploring short stories, poetry, essays, speeches, biographies, auto-biographies, as well as novels and dramatic works fit for the greatest stages.
We will also be creating our own works to pass down through the ages. We will have the chance to pen creative works of fiction, as well as hard-hitting, factual pieces to awe and amaze.
This class is meant to open your eyes to the wide world of language and the astounding power that it holds. We will open our eyes, minds and hearts to new ideas and allow ourselves to get swept away into an ocean of possibilities.
